REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

The Republic of Ireland (or Ireland for short) is an island country located in western Europe. It only borders Northern Ireland, but unlike it it’s not part of the UK. It’s washed by the Atlantic Ocean in the west. The capital and the largest city is Dublin.

Ireland has a population of more than five million people. There are two official languages –Irish and English.

The climate in Ireland is temperate oceanic. Therefore, winters are cool and summers are warm. The landscape there is beautiful – with the longest River Shannon, the highest waterfall Devil’s Chimney, the Caves of Kesh and many more.

The Irish themselves are a proud nation following many traditions. Family plays a very important role in their lives.

Hi!

How are you?

I am getting ready for my summer holidays, and the country I want to visit is England. It is located in the south of Great Britain, and the climate there is humid temperate. So, it isn’t very hot in summer, but it isn’t very rainy either. In fact, the weather there is quite warm and sunny during this season.

I heard the English are a bit reserved, but they are also very polite.

I want to visit London (its capital city), see the River Thames, take photos of Big Ben and go on a ride on the London Eye. England has a rich culture and history, so I also want to visit some museums there.
