The mass media play an important role in our lives. Why? Firstly, we all want to be informed about the latest news. Secondly, we often need to find some accurate information for our work and studies. Finally, many of us post data ourselves. There are different ways to do all that.

To begin with, there is the press – newspapers and magazines. It all started in Germany around 1600 when the first editions were published. This is why the press is often thought of as the traditional media.

Next, we have the radio – a very comfortable way of getting data by listening to it instead of reading it. It offers different shows, music and news programmes. Today, most of us listen to the radio in a car while driving.

What about posting information outdoors so that more people can see it? Billboards, posters, banners – our streets are full of them. This is how we get informed about different products, places and services. However, ads appear not only there. They can be found online as well.

This is where the Internet comes in – a worldwide network which is the most popular source of information. We can read blogs and articles as well as watch videos, vlogs and films there. Many people prefer the Net because they can find, post or buy anything there at any time.

As you can see, there are many ways of getting or posting data. It all depends on what you are looking for or willing to post.
